Job Description

Role PurposeResponsible to the Account Manager and the Operational Compliance Manager, the Maintenance Manager will be responsible for the management of all aspects of the site maintenance and breakdown response to ensure the site operation is maintained at all times in a safe and effective manner and is compliant with all current statutory requirements.The Maintenance Manager will also oversee the daily operations within the Grounds Maintenance Department ensuring that key contractual requirements are met.This is a 12 month Fixed Term position until August 2021Responsibilities

  • To assist the Account Manager to meet the contractual obligations
  • To ensure all planned and reactive maintenance is delivered safely, to specification, on time and that it complies with statutory requirements
  • Monthly auditing of PPM and reactive works
  • Day to day line management and supervision of the maintenance team personnel and grounds maintenance. Responsibilities include tasking, appraisal and resource planning etc.
  • Ensure that all team members are familiar with and comply with Interserve Safety Instructions
  • Produce monthly KPI reports for Hard Services department
  • Responsibility for passive and active fire protection, site access and alarm systems
  • Management of Building Management Systems (BMS) for site
  • Liaise with customers, external contractors and consultants on all maintenance issues
  • To ensure all contractors comply fully with the company Health and Safety policy, the law, and ensure that all have received site inductions before starting work on site
  • Control of contractors through the Permit to Work System and supervision
  • Manage Risk Assessments and Method Statements both internal and external
  • Monitor and review Hard Service facilities service contracts
  • Responsible for unplanned lifecycle management
  • Assist with planned lifecycle management, including condition surveys
  • Management of Maintenance budget
  • Act as emergency contact during silent hours and cover occasional weekends as part of the on call system.
  • Undertake any other duties over and above those listed, within reason, as directed by the Account Manager.

  • Knowledge Skills and Experience
  • Hold Electrical Authorised Person to JSP375
  • IT literate fully familiar with MS Office applications
  • Hold current driving licence
  • Knowledge of water treatment requirements including Legionella
