Job Description

Job Purpose:We are currently recruiting for a Cleaning Team Leader to support our high level Defence: Sixth Form College in Welbeck. You will be required to manage and provide the general maintenance of cleaning standards set by the College as well as manage a team of Cleaners onsite.The successful candidate will be required undergo a high level of clearance prior to your commencing work onsite.Please note: this role is fixed term until July 2021.Responsibilities:

  • Control & leadership of Staff in the absence of the supervisor
  • Customer/Client Liaison
  • Control of Documentation
  • Responsible to the Cleaning Supervisor for the efficient and economic operation of the domestic services in accordance with the requirements of the contract and to meet the KPI’s, to include;
  • General Housekeeping duties including cleaning, laundry, window cleaning, feminine hygiene and waste management
  • Timely and effective leadership of the domestic support service staff including appropriate action to ensure that necessary services are undertaken professionally.
  • Allocate work programmes/schedules in line with specification requirements amongst relevant staff.
  • Complete daily inspections and check work procedures in line with DSFC standing operating procedures (SOP’s) ensuring all tasks are completed.
  • Allocation, ordering and registration of cleaning equipment to individual operatives or teams.
  • To ensure staff are correctly dressed at all times including control and issue of uniform and PPE.
  • Attend relevant H&S courses and roll out H&S legislation.
  • Complete monthly inspections in line with SOP`s
  • Allocation, ordering and registration of cleaning equipment to individual operatives or teams.
  • Complete weekly times sheets and be focal point for operative time keeping/time management
  • To ensure staff are correctly dressed at all times including control and issue of uniform and PPE.
  • Attend relevant H&S courses and roll out H&S legislation.
  • Complete monthly inspections in line with SOP`s
  • Monitor and report on external subcontractors with regards to window cleaning and other specialist cleaning services.
  • Operate a continuous improvement strategy to ensure service expectations are met and exceeded.
  • Implementation of Health and Safety practices in accordance with HSE guidance and legislation for all Domestic Services, staff and procedures.
  • Carry out duties in support of DSFC activities as directed by the Cleaning supervisor and Facilities Management team.
