Job Description

Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teacher -Whitstable

  • Job Title: Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teacher
  • Location: Whitstable
  • Start Date: February 2024
  • Salary: £30,000 to £46,525 (In line with your current pay scale)
  • Full/Part Time: Full Time (Part time role may be available)
Academics have been approached by an well-established and ever-growing school in Whitstable who are seeking a Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teacher to join them in February on a full time basis. Youll be working in a incredibly inclusive atmosphere, thisrole would suit an ECT (Early Career Teacher) or a more experienced teacher. The school welcomes applications for those with experience working in a SEN/SEND Environment, although this is not essential as they have a very refined CPD programme which they offerstaff.To be successful in this role you will need:
  • To have a varied subject knowledge across many subjects, e.g Religious Studies, Maths, English and more….
  • Be able to remain calm and measured with high pressure scenarios should they occur
  • Work well alongside staff especially in the support of SEN students
  • To aim to exceed expectations, getting involved in external projects and extra/co-curricular activities to help grow you experience and professional development.
  • Be able to adapt to and cater to the needs of an SEN student in the correct manor, to make sure they get the best possible benefits out of each of their classes just like their classmates.
