Job Description

Based in Whitstable, TPF Recruitment is working on behalf of a great local firm of Chartered Accountants who are looking for an Accounts Assistant/ Semi Senior Accountant to join their team in a general practice position across accounts, tax, bookkeepingand VAT. Our client is a multi-sited firm of chartered accountants and they have been established in the Kent market for many years. Theyre looking for an Accounts Assistant/ Semi Senior or somebody who is studying the AAT or ACCA to join them in a progressiveand rewarding career. Given the nature of the business, there are great internal progression prospects on offer too.You will be responsible for:

Preparation of statutory accounts to review stage
Assistingwith management accounts production
Personal taxation, corporate taxation and VAT returns
Generalbookkeepingdutiesusing Sage, Xero orQuickBooks
Coaching and mentoring junior staff members and trainees

Requirements

You will have 1-5 years experience within an accountancy practice.
You will be studying AAT / ACCA or be qualified by experience.
You will have hands-on experience in accounts, tax and VAT preparation.
