Job Description

Adecco are proud to be working with a global manufacturing company who are recruiting within their Engineering department, see details below:Job Title: Quality EngineerLocation: Whitstable, KentSalary: up to £34,000Hours: Monday to Thursday 8.00am - 4.30pm / Friday 8.00am - 1.30pmBenefits:

Key responsibilities within your new role would be to:
  • Log, track, summarise and present the quality scorecards to the Senior Management Team.
  • Provide and support the framework of data analysis and continuous improvement based on the quality KPIs.
  • Host and support customer and third party audits.
  • Lead on NCR activities from audits and customer returns origin.
  • Provide support to the organisations Engineering team with data and framework for internal defect investigations.
  • Manage the calibration of equipment within the company and ensure all items are calibrated within a timely manner with external calibration providers.
  • Maintain the companys internal visual standards based on internal and customer feedback.
  • Maintain and upgrade the companys quality procedures.
  • Advise others of efficient procedure improvement methods.
  • Identify future quality risks and trend and advise the Senior Management Team of correct solutions and countermeasures.
  • Lead the companys internal audit programme.
  • Create and issue FAIR reports as per AS9102.
  • Train new and existing members of staff.
  • Support technicians and engineers.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure optimal performance.
  • Liaise and communicate with other departments, customers, suppliers and service providers.
  • Take care fr health, safety and environment and others who may be affected by work activities, as well as co-operating on health and safety issues.
  • Ensure all employees, contractors and visitors comply with company policies and use the correct equipment and PPE.
  • Follow work instructions as identified in the quality management system.
Experience and skills required for this position:Essential Experience:
  • Previous experience as a Quality Engineer
  • Experience within a manufacturing environment
  • The ability to identify risks and trends
  • Experience presenting non-conformances or defect reports to Senior Management Teams
  • Strong communication skills
  • The ability to work in a team
  • Be organised
  • Competent in the use of Microsoft Office
Desirable Experience
  • A degree in Engineering
