Position: Electrical EngineerTerm: Min 3 months Temporary positionLocation: Whitstable, KentHourly Rate : CompetitiveThe CompanyWith over 60 years of an industry presents, this manufacturing company, has built a reputation that has seen them provide their products to a number of recognised brands in both the UK and Europe.As a result they are seeking an Electrical Engineer, who will be responsible for carrying out planned maintenance and reactive breakdown repairs on bespoke production, and factory/building equipment. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a 1st class maintenanceteam.Your day to day maintenance duties would be but not limited to: Dust extraction systems Fume extraction systems Effluent/emissions from site Vacuum System (volatiles) Plant Lighting (Standard & Emergency) Electrical safety, including the on-site sub-station Safety cages/ machine guards / safety devices i.e. locks Forklift Trucks Chemical storage & safety (for engineering supplies e.g. gas tanks, cleaning fluids etc.) Portable appliance testing is completed and logged. Fire detection systems Hand toolscondition, inspections and replacements. Ladder condition, inspections and replacements. Cooling Tower & channels - monitoring condition and recording water treatment and results. Legionella Risk Assessment and management plan. Tanker loading systems - condition, inspections and maintenance.You will need to be: Qualified in a relevant engineering discipline e.g. Electrical / Electronic or Mechanical Engineering. Minimum Level 4 City & Guilds in a relevant engineering discipline e.g. LGCI, SVQ/NVQ level 4, Level 4 vocational awards. Competency for covering all electrical work on machines and in building. Significant experience (Minimum of 5 years) gained within a production or JIT manufacturing environment. Demonstrable problem solving skills and the ability to be actively hands on when dealing with engineering related problems.Working hours are as follows: Monday to Friday 8.00am to 4.00pmTo register your interest pleaser apply via the link below
