Job Description

The Camping and Caravanning Club is the worlds oldest and largest Club for all forms of camping and our aim is to help people enjoy the simple pleasures that camping can bring. Its an exciting time to join the organisation and be a part of our continuedgrowth.As one of the leading names in the outdoor industry, we pride ourselves on truly understanding the needs of our customers, giving them peace of mind when enjoying a stay on one of our 100 campsites. We are a not-for-profit organisation, which means thatevery penny spent with us is invested back into improving facilities and services for our members.We are currently recruiting for a I.T. Service Desk Manager to join our busy Business Systems team. This post manages 6 Service Desk Analysts and the day to day operation of our Technology Service Desk who support around 800 users.This post ensures the Service Desk Team operate efficiently, are technically capable and provide professional and friendly customer service at all times.This is a varied role where duties will include:

  • Proven experience of working to responsibility for the delivery of IT support, ensuring incident management, problem management and request fulfilment is undertaken effectively and efficiently, to ITIL framework standards.
  • Control, monitor and report on Service Desk related activities to ensure that tasks are completed on time and to high levels of customer service
  • Allocate and prioritise support tickets whilst monitoring and managing team performance.
  • Escalation of support tickets to ensure they are being updated and resolved in a timely manner.
  • Ensure that staffing and skill levels are maintained throughout operational hours through effective management of the Shift and On Call Rotas.
  • Assess staff development and training needs, coaching and supporting individuals.
Applicants should have the following skills or experience :
  • ITIL certified
  • A strong background of managing, motivating and developing service desk teams
  • Mentoring and empowering team members
  • A formal qualification in Information Service Management, or a related field
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 and Teams
  • Experience of managing and auditing external service providers
  • Ability to deliver to deadlines in a pressurised environment
