Job Description

Facilities & Utilities Manager Founded in 1901, The Club is the oldest and largest in the world for all forms of camping. We operate a network of more than 100 UK campsites, providing fantastic locations and facilities to customers who holiday in tents, caravans and motorhomes.Our Property Services team is growing. We’ve invested in new posts in order to further deliver outstanding campsites for our members. Recently, we have either acquired or built new sites in beautiful locations across the UK including the Lake District and Sherwood, after a challenging 12 months, this growth is set to continue.Our Property Services team has 30 employees dedicated to ensuring we have the best facilities and pitches, building on our position as the oldest and largest Club for all forms of camping in the U.K.This post has line management responsibility for our Network Utility Manager and Facilities Maintenance Surveyor.Your Main duties and responsibilities will be:

  • To oversee the management of utilities and energy consumption across the sites network
  • Creating optimal solutions in managing electricity usage across the sites network in conjunction with required electric / utility supply upgrades
  • Ensuring all Statutory Compliance is carried out across the network in accordance with regulations.
  • Responsible for the management of Contractors carrying out M&E servicing.
  • To assist the Head of Property with preparation of budgetary submissions
  • Providing expertise and recommendations to senior management as required
  • To work closely with the staff on our sites in developing the camp sites to ensure health and safety, operational and commercial optimisation.
  • To line manage the workload of the Network Utilities and the Facilities Maintenance Surveyor
  • To be responsible for water management solutions across the sites network, including sewage treatment
  • Responsible for the tendering and procurement of M&E service contracts across the network.
    • To be successful in this role you will have:
  • A HNC in Building Studies or technical / qualified equivalent in electrical / mechanical installations
  • Previous experience in hard FM or and M&E background
  • Ideally have some knowledge or understanding of Building Management system (BMS)
  • The ability to lead and motivate others.
  • Flexibility, as overnight stays and UK travel will be required to carry out the role
  • Clear and concise writing skills and the ability to handle complex documents
  • Full UK Driving licence
