Job Description

We are currently looking for a Stock Controller to join this fast-paced company, the right candidate will play a key role within the business and be able to influence processes within the organisation.Stock ControllerThe Role

  • Forecasting likely levels of demand for products to meet the business needs, keeping a constant check on stock levels to maximise business efficiency and ordering stock to meet the demand
  • Building and maintaining supplier relationships
  • Analysing and collating stock-level figures for the senior management team
  • Planning promotional marketing activity into production schedules
  • Maintaining Stock Level in a computerised system
  • Logging delivery anomalies and communicating with Supplier to resolve
  • Collating production paperwork and updating computerised system
  • Logging production sheet discrepancies and escalating any large anomalies
  • Organising Stock Takes as required
  • Communicating low and out-of-stock levels with relevant teams
  • Filing and maintenance of paperwork
  • Forecasting future product requirements, expenditure and analysing sales trends
  • Reviewing sales and calculating under and over-stock products
  • Allocating stock to production schedules
  • Raising purchase orders in computerised system
  • Scheduling supplier deliveries in line with production schedules
  • Ensuring artwork version numbers match the supplier version number when ordering labels, cartons & leaflets
  • Creating production schedules and distributing accordingly
  • Managing and organising delivery schedules
  • Forecasting price trends and their impact on future activities
  • Reviewing export product demand and calculating materials required to fulfil contracts
  • Assisting with new product development and liaising with suppliers to arrange sample products, taste testing and formulation documentation
  • Creating purchase orders using Sage Line 50
  • Ensuring production plans are adhered to
Skills required
  • Computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Office including; Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Sage Line 50
  • Well-spoken, good use of English, articulate, numerate, and reliable
  • Flexible, organised, and able to prioritise a changing to do list
  • Detail-oriented and accurate
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Decision-making skills
