They have a growing development pipeline of over 7,500 homes to rent and 650,000sqft of ancillary amenity, co-working, retail and leisure valued at more than £2.5bn.With their planned growth they are now looking to appoint a Development Manager to their team in Harrogate.THE IDEAL CANDIDATEYou will have experience of working for a housebuilder, developer, or consultancy organisation with the ability to manage all aspects of a project from land acquisition to supporting contract procurement. A natural leader having managed teams whilst driving and delivering projects. Experience of dealing with local authorities and detailed knowledge of the planning system is essential.You will have excellent and well well-honed negotiation, communication and decision making skills to make a real difference with a forward thinking and progressive business. Working with a great team of colleagues you will drive forward your projects, delivering successful schemes that come in on time and cost. You must be also technically proficient with intimate knowledge and understanding of the whole property development life cycle from site identification, feasibility, planning, funding, legals, construction and handover. You will enjoy working with internal and external teams on these matters.JOB DESCRIPTIONReporting to the Director of Development the Development Manager will be responsible for the successful delivery of a portfolio of sites in the development phase from land acquisition to start on site, continuing to support the project and operations team to handover. You will work with an internal project team comprising appraisal, analysis, design planning and project management skills, and external professional consultant team to ensure development value is maximised, excellent design and living spaces are created, brand values and standards are captured while managing investor and legal stakeholders.This is a new role in a company that is very highly thought of within the industry.
