Senior/Risk and Assurance AuditorMayors Office for Policing and Crime.From £41,780 per annumCentral LondonRef: MOPAC SRAAThe Mayors Office for Policing and Crime (MOPAC) is the organisation through which the Mayor of London exercises his role as the Police and Crime Commissioner for London and is led by the Deputy Mayor for Policing and Crime. MOPAC undertakes a broad range of statutory duties and works closely with the Mayor of London, Deputy Mayor and Metropolitan Police Service to deliver the priorities within the Police and Crime Plan.We are a dedicated, professional, highly skilled workforce and are committed to equality and diversity. Youll be joining the well-respected MOPAC Directorate of Audit, Risk and Assurance, recently externally assessed as one of the leading internal audit services within the public sector. The Directorate has the interesting and high-profile job of providing the internal audit service for a number of significant clients including; MOPAC, the Metropolitan Police Service, the London Fire Brigade and the Greater London Authority.For you this scale and scope means opportunities to deliver assurance to a wide client base that will ultimately ensure continuing, effective and efficient services are delivered to Londoners. Your aim will be to identify key business risks, evaluate and test controls and identify areas of improvement, something youll do by planning and carrying out programmed audit assignments.A good level of practical internal auditing experience is essential and will be supported by a recognised qualification (minimum of CIA/PIIA or equivalent) together with membership of the appropriate professional body. Youll be someone who has a thorough understanding of systems and risk-based auditing, and the personal qualities and credibility to operate effectively as a representative of MOPAC and the Directorate.The role provides career opportunities that could take the salary from a Grade 6 at £41,780 per annum, to a Grade 5 at £49,322 per annum depending on qualification, business needs and experience.
