Job Description

About the roleThe Relief and Initial Assessments Team Managerwill oversee the line management of a team of specialist relief workers and will support with other management functions as required within the framework of the Modern Slavery Victim Care Contract and Hestiasinternal processes

  • Lead, develop and support a team of relief workers to ensure high quality service delivery that achieves agreed standards of care and support, in compliance with the Modern Slavery Victim Care Contract requirements, and Hestia policies and procedures.
  • Support wider team with meeting KPI requirements and deadlines for new client referrals including but not limited to: co ordinating initial subsistence payments, allocating initial assessments to appropriate team member, management of the urgent issuesbetween 9am 10pm.
  • Oversight of shift pattern rota for team covering Monday Sunday 9am 10pm including bank holidays
About you
  • Experience and understanding of working with or supporting vulnerable people Knowledge and understanding of safeguarding issues and ability to address them appropriately.
  • Experience of team management including experience of recruitment, induction, supervision, motivation, appraisal, training, disciplinary and grievance issues.
  • Experience of performance monitoring to ensure consistently high service user standards Ability and experience of managing a service within budget.
  • Knowledge of methods of assessing, formulating, implementing, recording, reviewing and monitoring service user support and assessment plans.
  • Ability to write and interpret complex reports Proficient with computer systems and able to create accurate reports and
  • support staff to use computer systems effectively by recording client data accurately and to a high standard.
