Job Description

A significant part of this goal is the provision of powerful services, applications and tools that enable a broad spectrum of coders to access our platform and provide seamless workflow through our user centric products.The User Compute Platform Product Manager will be responsible for the strategy and delivery of our cloud hosted Jupyter environment (Refinitiv CodeBook) as well as the applications and workflows that front this service within our premium financial desktop product. Reporting to the Head of Desktop Platform Services, this role is part of a newly formed team that is dedicated to bringing data directly to Refinitivs users through a set of simple, streamlined, modern services covering APIs, bespoke applications and integrations with market leading Office suites. Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage the definition and delivery of the JupyterLab based Cloud hosted service to support all platform use cases (Desktop, feeds and data science etc)
  • Work with design and product teams to deliver world class applications that empower users that bring together the JupyterLab and Refinitiv Workspace financial desktop environments
  • Own the strategy for cross product Application to Code workflows and work with the broader product team to implement that strategy.
  • Work closely with Development teams to ensure execution of the plan through clear communication of requirements, development, testing and successful releases of features
  • Pursue a deep understanding of the customer through constant engagement in order to validate requirements, obtain market insight and create strategic product partnerships
  • Work with Platform Advocacy team to produce and maintain a library of materials to support APIs and associated tools (Jupyter books, tutorials, blogs, articles etc)
    • Essential Skills/Experience Required:
  • Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Finance or equivalent
  • Hands-on experience with Python and Jupyter is essential - including extending and customising the Jupyter environment to create unique workflows
  • Deep understanding of how cloud economics affect product delivery and commercialisation
  • Strong experience in Product Management; can understand and detail end-user workflows, and produce accurate Product Requirements, mock-ups and roadmaps
  • Very strong influencing skill and stakeholder management
  • Advanced knowledge of JIRA and agile project delivery methodologies
  • Ability to prioritise while balancing the needs of the customers and stakeholders Strong team player with experience in working with virtual teams from different functions/regions
  • Experience engaging directly with customers to understand and support their needs
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills; communicate confidently and concisely to both technologists and non-technologists.
    • Desired Skills:
  • Experience delivering services in the Amazon Cloud
  • Understanding of cloud economics.
  • Knowledge of Refinitiv: In strategy, markets and competitive landscape.
