This is an excellent opportunity for an experience Highway / Traffic Design Engineer to play a key role in a growing traffic and transportation business. Our client specialises in undertaking transport planning studies and developing traffic and transportation schemes for public and private sector clients. They provide several services including scheme design, transport planning and traffic modelling and you will have the opportunity to employ and develop a broad range of capabilities across these areas.Our client is currently engaged on several very high-profile and challenging projects for key clients and there would be the opportunity to become involved in these projects directly and play a pivotal role in their delivery. You will be provided with opportunities for internal and external training as part of a programme of continuous professional development.REQUIREMENTS: It is essential that you have: ·A good level of professional work experience, with London experience highly desirable. ·A relevant degree in engineering, a post graduate qualification in transport planning or a suitable level of professional experience to demonstrate capability. ·A strong understanding and working knowledge of AutoCAD ·A working knowledge of industry guidance - TSRGD, Manual for Streets etc. ·A high standard of numeracy. ·Good written and spoken English. ·A proficiency with MS Office software and Excel in particular. ·With experience of project management desirableProficiency with some, or all the following software packages would also be considered beneficial: ·Autodesk vehicle tracking ·TRL Junctions 10 (ARCADY/PICADY) ·JCT LinSig ·TRL TRANSYT ·PTV VISSIM ·PARAMICS ·PTV VISUMWhat you will get in return: Remuneration will include a competitive salary that reflects your appointed grade and experience, a company pension, private medical health insurance, group life assurance, membership costs for professional bodies and eligibility for performance related bonuses.FOOTNOTE: If you feel that you are right for this role technically, but the rate, location or seniority does not suit you specifically then please still feel free to send us your CV.
