Job Description

DCD are looking to recruit 5 individuals to join the DCD Grants Committee. The Committee considers and awards all applications for Financial Retraining Grants. The Grants Committee is chaired by Sue Sloan and meets three times during the year, usually in the early afternoon, reporting to each subsequent Board meeting on its business. The remit of the Committee is to consider and award all applications for Financial Retraining Grants, with the authority to make Financial Retraining Grants within a budget set by the Board and following decision making guidelines as set by the DCD Board. Where there are applications for support deemed to be of an emergency nature, a sub-committee will be asked to consider an application outside of the usual meetings. We are seeking people who are enthusiastic about personal and professional development, who are able to collectively make responsible decisions around applications for financial support. We are seeking a commitment for a period of a minimum of 3 years.
