Job Description

Early Years Teacher Location: Central London (NW1) Salary: Scale starts from £25,000 per annum The Role:

  • With initial emphasis on the development of personal and emotional skills, you will build on each childs strengths through the curriculum and the range of additional groups and classes within the school day.
  • You will ensure the importance of exercise and the Arts should never be underestimated or take second place to academia.
  • Each child is allocated a Key Person who will spend time with them each day with a special programme tailor-made to each childs individual learning path.
  • Report to parents regularly and operate an open-door policy for parents.
  • You will help with the development of academic skills that is encouraged through one-to-one tuition, the curriculum, and weekly classes as well as a bespoke plan for each child.
Duties:
  • Work in partnership with the Senior Manager in planning for their group and to contribute to the class as a whole.
  • Prepare and carry out activities with the children, allowing for adult and child let activities.
  • Be responsible as Key Person to a small group of children, maintain records and monitor progress and development.
  • Demonstrate a warm, professional approach to children, parents and colleagues.
  • Have a thorough knowledge of Safeguarding and the schools policies and procedures.
  • Take on an additional duty, SENDCO, Health and Safety etc
The ideal candidate will have:
  • The successful applicant will hold a suitable, relevant Early Years teaching qualification (Level 3 equivalent or above),
  • Have a working knowledge of the EYFS,
  • Have relevant experience and be able to work as part of a team.
  • An excellent command of the English language and good communicate skills are also essential
