DevOps Engineers required by Central London based (remote at the moment), leading UK digital TV companies.They have ambitious plans in regards to the technology stack & have invested heavily into the Product & engineering teams this year.We are now looking for a couple of Google Cloud Platform experienced DevOps engineers to join the Tech Ops team!You will enjoy working for a company thats growing (8+ hired into the engineering team so far this year) & where it is vitally important that the platform has zero downtime; people couldnt watch TV. It is that serious.So, some of the stuff you will do, although, if you are an experienced DevOps Engineer, you probably know this already:- Own and shape a DevOps strategy for our cloud infrastructure.- Provide effective technical support, incident analysis and monitoring to ensure operational issues are managed and progressed promptly.- Sustain and enhance existing CI/CD pipelines and workflows.- Work with the Software Engineering and Operations teams to define guidelines and processes for development practices that increase deployment frequency whilst retaining release quality such as deployment automation and component orchestration.- Work with the Product and Software Engineering teams to translate new product requirements into tasks in line with the DevOps guidelines and processes that you have introduced.- Be a force in building a stronger DevOps culture, providing guidance to junior developers/DevOps/Operations team members.- Become instrumental in improving and implementing Agile processes and ways of working.Stuff that we would look for & that you have done previously:- An energetic talented DevOps engineer with a solid background in Computer Science- Demonstrable experience working as a DevOps Engineer delivering process improvements.- Able to articulate and balance the risks involved in fast software delivery vs. operational stability.- A passion for high-quality deliverables and engineering practices, including software resilience and information security.- Experience with Jenkins, Terraform, Kubernetes, AWS/GCP, Docker, Microservices, NoSQL Databases, Messaging, CI/CD, Docker, Git.- Experience in designing, deploying and managing automation systems.- Experience defining the deployment and orchestration of complex multi-service architectures- Knowledge and experience of Agile development methodologies, particularly Kanban and Scrum.Desirable things that would make us very keen to speak with you, but not required:- Experience within Digital TV, broadcast, Streaming, VOD, IPTV industry a strong benefit.- Google Certified- Java, JavaScript / React / Node.JS. skills- Apache Cassandra- Cisco certified – CCNA or DevNetIf you like the sound of the above & can demonstrate most of the above list of things, we would love to hear from you.There is an excellent, stable, well -funded & technically innovative company waiting to welcome you aboard!**Fully remote interview * onboarding process in place**Keywords: DevOps, SRE, Site reliability Engineer, Docker, Kubernetes, Google Cloud Platform, GCP, AWS, Digital TV, Agile, Terraform, Jenkins, London, remote.
