Job Description

BUSINESS CONTINUITY PRACTITIONER LEAD - 2 year FTCRemote working with travel to London/BrightonOne of the largest financial services company in the UK is looking for a Business Continuity Practitioner Lead to join their team. The company is undergoing a company-wide security transformation, looking for a BCP Lead to conduct the Disaster Recovery and Technology Resilience strategies. This role is ideal for someone with experience looking at the full end to end capability and continued maturity of Cyber Resilience and IT resilience and Disaster Recovery. This is a great opportunity for someone looking for career progression in a company-wide Business Continuity strategy in a leading financial services company.RESPONSIBILITES OF A BUSINESS CONTINUITY AND DISASTER RECOVERY LEAD:

  • Build and manage a Business Continuity schedule for the IT Resilience, Disaster Recovery and Cyber Resilience capabilities.
  • Conduct the Business Continuity Policies, Incident Management plans, Emergency Management plans and Work Area Recovery plans
  • Work with teams to build IT Resilience and DR improvements into IT Infrastructure Applications and Third Party supplier services
  • Communicate all operational resilience plans to key stakeholders, emphasizing key areas as prioritized activities
  • Manage and interact with third parties when delivering Technology Resilience and recovery.
  • Work between key stakeholder and senior leadership to communicate needs of the programme.
  • Provide assurance on delivery and business value plans and continued roadmapping.
  • Effective management of the programme and its ongoing risk challenges
  • Your team will be responsible for running the functions, including Governance, Strategy, Policies, Standards, Testing and Exercising, Cyber Recovery and ITDR.
    • WHAT IS NEEDED TO BE A BUSINESS CONTINUITY AND DISASTER RECOVERY LEAD:
  • Experience acting as a Business Continuity Practitioner Lead in financial services
  • Experience dealing with major IT incidents and running schedules for Disaster Recovery testing for data centers, cloud platforms, and third parties
  • Experience building improvements for multiple applications or work steams, ideally in a global organisation
  • Experience managing and conducting negotiation requirements for critical business applications in time, cost and quality expectations
  • BCI or DRII qualified
  • Strong experience working between Application, IT Transformation, SDLC and Operational Resilience
  • Prior experience in managing BCP and Disaster Recovery across an entire organisation and multiple business units
  • Flexible attitude and involvement in a variety of IT projects
  • Experience dealing directly with stakeholders, C-level leaders, auditors and regulators
