Job Description

Join the team at Wellesley Hospital in Wellingtonas a Ward Administrator and enjoy a career where you will be valued and supported in everything you do.You will support the nursing Department in maintaining a high standard of day to day operational service delivery, and maintain a high standard of record keeping with specific reference to patient files.As a Ward Administrator, you will be responsible forarranging meetings and typing up all correspondence and documentations.At Elysium, we want the best for you.   • Assist in the development, implementation and evaluation of effective means of systems within the unit, and between units and groups
  • Act as a link between the public, outside professionals and other hospital departments and wards in respect of routine telephone calls and general enquiries.
  • Maintain as confidential, at all times, information regarding patients, staff and hospital business
  • General upkeep and organisation of nurses office and ward managers office
To be successful in this role, you will have:
  • Previous experience within a similar role and/or environment.
  • Knowledge of healthcare terminology
  • Knowledge of the Mental Health Act 1983 and associated legislation
  • Knowledge of the CPA and national guidelines
  • Previous experience of typing up medical reports and patient discharge letters
  • GCSE English, C or above.
