Job Description

IT Talent is currently seeking an experienced IT Network Manager for a vacancy within the Managed IT Division. This position will be based at a leading independent school in Somerset, which is a client of the Managed Service.As the Network Manager, the individual will have the following responsibilities:

  • Overseeing the daily provision of support and management of the schools ICT resources, ensuring that the needs of the staff and students are met.
  • Taking charge of the management and support of the clients core infrastructure, services, and data within defined SLAs for uninterrupted service to all users, including fault diagnosis and resolution.
  • Prioritizing workloads to maintain service levels and KPIs within a structured framework.
  • Managing an onsite IT Technician and coaching, mentoring, developing, and managing HR processes.
  • Driving the strategic planning of the IT provision in the school and collaborating with the school management on IT budgets.
  • Demonstrating exceptional customer service skills at all times.
The ideal candidate should have:
  • A proven track record of leading and developing IT support services, with exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Line management experience and knowledge of ITIL based service management or IT services in the education sector.
  • A detail-oriented and professional approach to service delivery, with strong planning, documentation, and engagement skills.
  • Experience working in an education environment, with certification in either Office 365, Azure, or Microsoft MCSA/MCSE being desirable.
  • Hands-on experience with technologies such as VMware, HP Nimble, Windows 10/11 and Server 2016/2019/2022, Exchange, Office 365, Azure, Intune, server hardware, Active Directory, networking technologies, virtual server backup, educational MIS systems, andaudio-visual equipment.
