We are working with a leading MSP who are seeking a hands on IT Manager to support one of their clients based in Wellington. As IT Manager you will be responsible for line managing an IT Technician and working closely with Senior Leaders on over all ITprovision within the business. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to take the step into an IT Manager role.Your responsibilities as a IT Manager will be:* The day-to-day provision of support and management of the Infrastructure and Network withing the business ensuring functionality to support staff* Be responsible for the management and support of the core infrastructure, services and data within defined SLAs to ensure a continuity of service to all users including fault diagnosis, and resolution* Prioritise workloads to maintain service levels and service KPIs within a structured service framework* Manage an onsite IT Technician including coaching, mentoring, development, and all necessary HR processes and procedures (1-to-1s, annual appraisals etc)* Drive the strategic planning of the IT provision* Work with management in the preparation and management of IT budgetsWhat experience do you need as an IT Manager* You will demonstrate proven experience of leading and developing IT support services demonstrating exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills* This role requires line management of an on-site IT team; therefore, managementsupervisory experience would be beneficial.* Experience of ITIL based service management and/or development of IT services within the educational sector would be advantageous* Attention to detail with a methodical and professional approach to service delivery including appropriate due diligence, planning, documentation and engagement with service management, offsite support staff and third parties.Technical Experience* Knowledge of virtualisation solutions, preferably VMware* SAN Technologies (preferably HP Nimble)* Excellent knowledge and understanding of Windows 10/11 and Windows Server 2016,2019 and 2022* Exchange, Office 365, Azure, Intune and Autopilot knowledge* Server hardware (preferably HP)* Active Directory, Group Policy and Domain Services* Strong understanding of networking technologies including TCP/IP, VLAN, switching, routing and firewall configuration, VPNs and WAN environments* Corporate networking systems (wired and wireless)* Virtual server backup technologies such as Veeam* Audio & Visual equipment, interactive screens, whiteboards and projectorsWhat will you get in return* Basic salary of up to £45,000* Hybrid working environment * Private healthcare + additional benefitsThis role is based in Wellington and is commutable from Exeter, Bridgewater, Tiverton and Yeovil.If you feel you match the above click apply now with an up to date version of your CV
