Job Description

The role of Financial Analyst within the Accounting & Finance team of a not-for-profit organisation will involve managing financial data, creating forecasts, and delivering reports to aid strategic decision-making.Client DetailsThis respected institution is an educational charity, located in Wellington. With a team of over 100 dedicated staff members, they are committed to delivering high-quality education and nurturing individual potential.DescriptionThe Financial Analyst key responsibilities are;

  • Supporting to deliver the annual budget and three-year plan.
  • Working to develop long range cashflows to model the Schools strategic plans. This may also include scenario planning.
  • Review and improving the management accounting pack.
  • Management of key accounting processes.
  • Supporting the in the administration of the Schools FIA Scheme, as well as managing renewal process.
  • Budgeting, analysing and reporting on Scholarships and Bursaries that have been granted to parents.
  • Balance sheet reconciliation preparation
  • Annual pension summary calculations and reporting
ProfileA successful Financial Analyst should have:
  • Part-qualified CIMA, ACA, ACCA
  • Excellent knowledge of budgeting and forecasting issues and with excellent analytical and numerical abilities.
  • Preparation of business cases demonstrating a high standard of literacy and the ability to explain complex financial information in a clear way.
  • Previous experience of working in a Finance Department.
  • Must have a flexible approach to delivering results and actively contributing to the Finance Team.
  • Must be able to always maintain confidentiality.
  • Must be accurate, neat and well organised.
