Job Description

Bid Manager (full time or part time available)One of the UKs leading providers of services to the NHS/Government is currently establishing a Bid Management team and therefore recruiting for a brand new Bid Manager to join them. This is a newly created position and a fantastic opportunity to join agrowing organisation and have a real input into strategic decision as well as making the role your own. This company employs over 290 people over 4 office and they are in a period of huge growth and development. The culture here is very friendly, open, honestand relaxed.The Bid Manager will be responsible for managing the end-to-end bid process, from initial opportunity identification through proposal submission. The ideal candidate will have excellent project management skills, strong analytical abilities, and a proventrack record of successfully winning bids. This role requires the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including business development, marketing, research and development, operations, production and finance.

  • Identify and evaluate potential bid opportunities, assessing their alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Collaborate with the commercial team and other internal stakeholders to develop a bid strategy, including win themes, value proposition, and pricing strategy.
  • Balance multiple bids and ensure their timely delivery.
  • Lead and coordinate the bid process, ensuring adherence to deadlines and quality standards.
  • Conduct thorough research and analysis to understand customer requirements, competitive landscape, and market trends.
  • Maintain an understanding of social value trends including customer proxy values and requirements and national themes, outcomes and measures and develop company social value strategies accordingly.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to internal stakeholders and senior management, seeking input and approval on bid strategies and proposals.
  • Develop and write compelling, customer-focused proposals that effectively communicate our solutions and value proposition.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather information and ensure technical accuracy in proposals.
  • Coordinate and manage bid-related resources, including writers, designers, and other contributors.
  • Conduct reviews and quality checks to ensure compliance with bid requirements.
  • Track and monitor bid performance and outcomes, analysing wins and losses.
  • Initiate post-bid reviews to include reviewing content with stakeholders/SMEs to capture and implement updates to the content library.
  • Ensure the ongoing maintenance of accurate bid content to include updates via post-bid reviews, ability to identify gaps in content, maintaining statistics such as biographies
