Job Description

HR Partnering AdvisorThe HR Partnering Advisor will help the implementation of the Trust’s workforce plan and business objectives by providing first line support to assigned Service Line Managers on a number of HR activities, including advice on:

  • Recruitment and Retention
  • Headroom Management - Sickness, Annual Leave, Maternity/Paternity Leave Etc.
  • Performance Management and Engagement including tactics and initiatives to improve Staff Attitude Survey results and Health and Wellbeing
  • Employee Relations
  • HR Projects assigned by the HR Business Partner
  • Location: South West London - Remote workingTemporary: Expected to last 3 months with possible extensionHours per week: 37.5 hours per weekSalary: £25 (Umbrella) or £22 per hour (PAYE)Experience
  • HR experience of providing advice to a diverse workforce on a range of employee relations; training; reward activities and medical workforce terms and conditions.
  • Experience of delivering training presentations & programmes and of grading structures & links with reward.
  • Knowledge and experience of producing reports in a variety of formats (excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Demonstrates an understanding of implementing HR policies and procedures.
  • Experience of working on: o Innovation and Change Managemento Employee Relations reports in a variety of formats (excel, Word, PowerPoint)o Demonstrates an understanding of implementing HR policies and procedures.o Experience of working on:o Innovation and Change Managemento Employee Relationso Recruitment and Selectiono Current employment law and case lawSkills and Knowledge

  • Able to identify, interpret and analyse complex information/legal decisions/case law
  • Intermediate to Advanced Knowledge of Medical Workforce Terms and Conditions
  • Basic knowledge of ESR
  • KEY RESULT AREAS:Recruitment and Retention:
  • Work with the Resourcing manager to ensure that the resourcing plans are fit for purpose and reviewed to achieve business objectives
  • Support all new starters from unconditional offer letters through to their on-boarding to integrate them as an effective part of the team
  • Employee Relations:
  • Establish strong working relationships with managers as well as being approachable to all employees and staff side representatives. Meets with line managers in assigned service lines monthly.
  • Provide first line support for advice and coaching to managers regarding all employee relations queries. Guide the managers on how to resolve issues informally and advise on how to handle formally.
  • Support with and conducts where necessary, disciplinary hearings and related formal investigations. Ensure consistency across all sites.
  • Provides first line advice on organisational restructuring including advice regarding redundancy, the applicable process and costs. Where necessary, provides support and/or conducts consultation meetings and provides all written communication to affected employees
  • Conduct exit interviews, uses tools and resources to analyse trends and suggest HR support where issues are identified
  • Headroom Management (Absence Management):
  • Supports all Maternity/Paternity/Adoption and any other family leave queries
  • Supports managers to ensures sickness absence is monitored and managed in service lines
  • Support the Senior HR Partnering Advisors, HRBPs and Employee Engagement Manager with the implementation of the Trust’s Wellbeing strategy
  • HR Projects
  • Administers the PADR process and runs monthly reports to highlight non-compliant areas
  • Work with service line managers and HR managers to communicate the Trust’s strategic objectives and values.
  • Train service line managers on how to carry out PADRs and use of the Trust technology
  • Medical Workforce
  • Support on all Maintaining High Performance Standards within assigned areas
  • Support on developing medical workforce plans and be point of contact for all queries related to medical workforce
  • Staff Attitude Survey, Engagement and Well-being:
  • Engage with Service Lines and Directorates regarding staff survey results and Health and Well-being agenda and support the development and delivery of agreed actions.
