Job Description

My client are seeking an EMIS trained Doctors Receptionist (ideally with an NHS smart card) to join them on an ongoing basis.Main duties of the job

Ensure an effective and efficient reception service is provided to patients any other visitors to the practice
Have a high degree of empathy, diplomacy and integrity and be able to demonstrate sensitivity and an awareness of patients needs
Be reliable, professional and adaptable to excel in an ever-changing environment
Deal with all general enquiries, explain procedures and make new and follow-up appointments
Handing completed repeat prescriptions to patient and checking names and address.
Process appointment requests from patients by telephone and in person.
Receive and make telephone calls as required. Divert calls and take messages, ensuring accuracy of detail and prompt appropriate delivery

Hours of work:Core practice hours are 08:00 - 18:30 Monday to Friday.
