Our Technology Service has transformed the IT experience of customers and staff. We have migrated to cloud services and infrastructure, redefinedpublic web and transactional services, retained control over our core technology and network, and enabled new ways of working for our staff.About the roleAs the manager of Infrastructure and Network Services, your team leads the design delivery and support of the councils core ICT systems, this is crucial in enabling us to continue to get the most out of Digital and Technology opportunities. Reporting tothe Head of ICT Operations and working within Technical Services, the scope of the role includes:

  • To lead, develop, and operationally manage 7 members of the Infrastructure & Networks Services team, including 3 Networking and 4 Infrastructure staff.
  • Accountable for the infrastructure environment including, datacentres and cloud services, local servers and hyperconverged systems, core office systems, networks & devices, firewalls, internet & secure public sector connectivity, backups, remote workingand 3rd party connectivity.
  • Responsible for monitoring and managing services and systems to ensure that availability, capacity and security aligns with service requirements and SLAs while responding to changing requirements.
  • Provide technical expertise, implementation and transition support and leadership to colleagues in Technology Services, Change and Digital Services for service specifications, design, implementation, and technical design changes.
