Job Description

**Role: ECT – Immediate start**Start Date: ASAPHave you recently just graduated in Education with a QTS and are currently seeking to embark on your teaching careerIf you are, an opportunity in a school based in the Waltham Forest area is looking to appoint ECTs to join their school. They are a lovely 6-form entry school rated Ofsted as "Outstanding." They aim to create a safe and welcoming environment for all pupilsand challenge them academically, helping the pupils understand that teaching doesnt stop in school. They also teach and respect pupils from different communities and religions.The role:

  • You will develop your practice through setting personal targets, reviewing your practice regularly and taking responsibility of your personal development.
  • Assess, monitor, record and report on the learning needs, progress, and achievements of assigned pupils, making accurate and productive use of assessment.
  • Responsibility for being given a form class.
  • Work collectively with other members of staff on curriculum and pupil development to achieve positive outcomes
  • Plan and teach well-structured and engaging lessons in line with the school curriculum.
  • Salary dependent on current pay scale
Requirements
  • Must have QTS or PGCE
  • Attend and participate in relevant meetings, training, and other learning activities to aid in your development
  • You must hold an enhanced child-barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service.
  • Be a positive role model with the ability to support staff and cover staff in the unforeseen circumstance that another teacher is absent
  • Be committed to promoting and enhancing a good understanding of the school.
  • Flexible teaching styles to accommodate the strengths and needs of pupils
  • You must have experience working within a Primary school
  • You will be able to provide two professional references.
  • You will need to complete Safeguarding and Prevent training.
  • Direct and supervise support staff, where applicable
