Job Description

As a restaurant manager you will manage, direct, and control the restaurant facility providing a customer focused service by managing processes, and adherence to policies, procedures and legislative aspects of food safety and hygiene for all our employees.Key Accountabilities:

Create a business plan, authorising adequate supply of all resources within budgetary parameters
Plan and coordinate the restaurant aspects of internal and external audits, and sign off of associated corrective actions, to maintain authorisation from regulatory bodies
Direct and monitor the team’s delivery of the day-to-day restaurant activities, in line with the labour plan, to ensure operational efficiency and integrity
Review equipment and highlight damage, escalating risks, to inform the preventative maintenance programme, equipment integrity and ensure the appropriate food safety environment is maintained
Provide appropriate information, in accordance with agreed procedures, to customers/regulatory bodies to ensure demonstration of process and procedures
Ensure that a safe working environment exists for all colleagues and that as a minimum the department meets the standards set in the health, safety and environment policy

What we’re looking for We are looking for someone who has:

Experience in a similar food service role
Holds a food hygiene NVQ level 2 certification of sanitation (or equivalent qualification)
Holds a basic Health and Safety NVQ level 2 certification (or equivalent)
Ideally holds a professional chef’s diploma
Experience ensuring compliance to detailed local standard operating procedures
Demonstrates experience training, coaching, and supporting others (evidence train the trainer approach)
Detailed understanding of the impact of legislation on day-to-day operations in relation to food safety
Experience working with computer, proficient in Word and Excel
