Job Description

We are looking for a Health, Safety and Environmental leader to join us in an exciting role at our site at Kiveton! In this role you will provide professional support and guidance to the Site Leadership team at Kiveton across our 4 separate functioningfactories,on all operational Health, Safety & Environmentalmatters.You will:

  • Ensure the locations Health, Safety and Environment policies and systems are managed effectively to support the adherence to all relevant legislation and agreed internal standards.
  • Monitor and embed the location management processes, including the investigation of all lost time incidents and management of the incident recording system, to ensure a sage working environment is maintained at all times.

  • Lead theH, S & Eaudit programmes on site to ensure compliance within the agreed standards. Youll drive continual improvement to maintain the highest standards of H&S performance at all times, recommending effective and practical solutions to implementwithin the business.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across all levels of site and business to drive H, S & E agenda
You will also be responsible for managing compliance with all aspects of the sites environmental permit, as well as drive continuous improvement ofEnvironmental awareness culture across the site and championing a programme that promotes sustainability.   • You must already have experience of working within the field of Health and Safety, with a good working knowledge of current H, S & E legislation, ideally within a Food or FMCG environment. Youll have a track record of implementing H, S & Eimprovementinitiatives and have an appetite for making a difference.
  • Experience in driving environmental awareness and sustainability specifically would be extremely advantageous
  • It will be highly advantageous if you have a NEBOSH diploma/equivalent or higher or a degree in Health, Safety and Environmental management as well as CMIOSH and an IEMA certification.
  • Ability to build strong relationships, confidence to adapt quickly to challenges in a calm and control manner
  • Communication and negotiation skills to drive compliance and agenda
