Job Description

***Childrens Residential Support Worker ***Have you always wanted to work with young people in the Social Care Sector, but never had the chance The home offers a holistic approach for the care of young people from the ages of 8 to 17 on admission. The home is able to accommodate 4 young people of either gender. If you are passionate about the lives of young people and want to make a real difference, supporting young people between the ages of 8 - 17 who have experienced trauma, this is the job for you! ***Please note due to the fact that you would be expected to transport the children from time to time, you must be a driver and have held a full licence for over 3 years***Job Title: Childrens Residential Support Worker Location: USK Monmouthshire (NP15) Salary: £23,666 - £24,626 (sleeps + plenty of overtime available!) Hours: Full time Contract: Permanent Shift Times: 8am - 11pm sleep 7am - 8.30am Benefits:

Responsibilities of a Childrens Residential Support Worker
  • Supporting young people with challenging behaviour in their day to day lives.
  • Work as part of a team.
  • Work well under pressure.
  • Able to be proactive, enthusiastic and empathetic.
Requirements:
  • Experience in working with children and young people is desirable but not essential.
  • Able to take responsibility for the care and well-being of young people.
  • Full UK Manual Driving Licence is essential due to the location of the homes and the duties involved and must have been held for 3 years or more.
  • Must either hold or be willing to work towards the QCF Level 4 Children & Young People qualification in Childrens Residential.
  • Must be aged 21 or over, due to the oldest child at the setting and due to the policies of the organisation.
