Job Description

Deputy Payroll & Pensions ManagerSW LondonHybrid working3 days in office, 2 from home35-hour weekUp to £37,500+ outstanding benefits which include 32days holiday + bank holidays, pension 21% employer contribution, access to sports & leisure facilities including swimming pool & gym, access to student bar, food and coffee stores onsite.Working for the UKs foremost educational establishment in its field, with over 250 years of excellence and innovation in research and education, you will join an organisation with core values of collaboration, ambition, respect and equity.The role of deputy payroll and pensions manager will form part of the financial transactions team responsible for providing an efficient and professional payroll and pension service to c2500 employees.As deputy payroll manager you will have management responsibility for part time one team member, ensuring all staff are paid on time and accurately.Main responsibilities:

  • Processing monthly payroll for c2500 employees
  • Effective management of one team member
  • Providing a pro-active payroll service working with the finance, business and HR teams
  • Management of monthly and ad-hoc payroll related payments including manual calculations
  • Supporting monthly financial accounting requirements of the business
  • Responsibility for the running of different pension schemes
  • Completion of all company and year-end payroll processes
You will have excellent payroll administration skills gained over at least 2 years working in a payroll department and be passionate about delivering a high quality and effective customer service.Previous experience using iTrent would be beneficial along with excellent working knowledge of Excel and Word..
