Job Description

Purchasing & Stock Control AdministratorSalary: £26k + bonus and great benefit company benefitsLocation: UckfieldHours: Mon - Fri 9am-5pmFree parking on site.Do you want to work for a reputable and well-established organisation within the supply chain and purchasing department dealing with stock control and administration that offers a friendly and supportive working environment if so, I have a new role withinmy clients purchasing and supply chain department based in their offices in Uckfield.You will already have a background in stock control and purchasing with a strong administrative background.Responsibilities:

  • Expediting all purchase orders and acknowledgements.
  • Attaching and placing purchase orders to accounts.
  • Stock control, ensuring responsibility of PI stock counting process.
  • Stationary orders.
  • Assisting the purchasing manager and supply chain manager as needed.
  • Entering invoices onto the system and matching the PO numbers.
  • Liasing with the accounts team.
  • Issuing notes as needed by the supplier.
  • Finishing orders on relevant suppliers and ensuring all administration is processed accurately.
  • Updating excel spreadsheets.
  • Assisting with telephone calls when needed - ie holiday cover or busy times.
  • Aiding all departments in relation to purchasing.
The right candidate will have the following skills and experience to apply:
  • Proven stock control and administrative experience.
  • Great IT skills inclusive of Excel (able to manipulate data) and using inhouse databases.
  • Strong organisation skills with the ability to multi-task.
  • Raising invoices and allocating PO numbers.
  • Methodical and great attention to detail.
  • Personable, adaptable, and able to manage their won workload and meet strict deadlines.
