Do you have experience as a Bookkeeper either from Industry or Practice Are you looking for a role offering flexible working hoursIf so then my client has a great opportunity for you. They are a large and highly respected firm of Accountants with multiple offices across Sussex. They offer excellent career development opportunities as well as continued support and training.As they continue to grow and take on more clients, they are looking for a Bookkeeper to join them in a varied role in which you will work closely with the wider accounts and tax team. This is a great opportunity for someone who has gained experience as a Bookkeeper,to use and develop their knowledge in a client facing role.Key skills and responsibilities include:* Bookkeeping using Xero and ClearBooks software* Monthly review of financial data on Xero and ClearBooks and effective communication with Accounts Managers of KPIs* Preparation and subsequent submission of VAT returns monthly after review* Development of online software and internal systems by recommending improvements and changes to current processes* Maintaining regular client contact and being a first point of contact for client queriesTo be considered, applicants will need to have gained strong bookkeeping experience and ideally pervious exposure to Xero - although full training will be given. In addition, you will have a good eye for detail and a great work ethic along with excellent communicationskills.
