Ignata Finance have been appointed as the recruitment partner for a Financial Controller position within a highly entrepreneurial business near UckfieldA growing business within a market leading industry, the recently appointed CFO is looking for a high quality number two.We are seeking a top quality and ambitious Financial Controller who will lead a small finance team, ensuring they deliver in an accurate and timely manner. Above and beyond extensive and relevant experience, the CFO is looking for someone that can demonstratethey can thrive in a pacey business, embrace change and drive continuous improvement. If you arent passionate about those elements it might not be the one for you..As the financial controller you will be responsible for:* Manage, coach and develop a high performing finance team.* Review of all finance processes to ensure fit for purpose of a growing business. This will include changes to operating practices.* Take full responsibility for the Monthly Finance Reporting Pack and Finance submissions for the Board Report.* Ensure monthly balance sheet reconciliations are prepared on time by the team, review and ensure balances are fully substantiated.* Responsible for preparation of the statutory accounts and overview of the annual audit process for all legal entities. This includes managing and supporting the team in their preparations for the annual audit, liaising with auditors and managing the annualexternal audit process, filing the statutory financial statements in a timely manner.* Responsible for delivering all information to the external tax advisors to allow for timely and accurate Corporation tax return.* Responsible for the timely submission of VAT/PAYE returns.* Administration of the bank accounts and weekly cashflow reported on a 13 week look forward basis and monthly view forward for 12 months.* Support business stakeholders with their management information needs including new site forecasts with Capex assumptions for Investment Case.* Managing the team in the treatment of fixed assets and reporting and tracking of capex spend especially for new site openings.* Project management and sponsorship for projects with material financial impacts, or to deliver commercial or strategic priorities
