CK Science are recruiting for a Molecular Biologist to join a global company in the Biotechnology industry at their site based in Cardiff on a contract basis for a period of circa 6 months.The Company:Our client is a global biotechnology company producing speciality enzymes at commercial scales for a variety of industries, such as food, flavour & fragrance, life science, pharmaceutical and fine chemicals.Salary: £25,000 per annum.Location:This Molecular Biologist role is located in Cardiff.Molecular Biologist Role:Your main duties will be:- Performing molecular biology techniques including DNA extraction, preparation, PCR and analysis techniques such as nano-drop, qPCR and agarose gel electrophoresis.- Protein analysis techniques such as Bradford assay and SDS-PAGE.- Producing reliable, accurate data and keep accurate records of laboratory work undertaken and results.- Reporting data to NPD scientists in agreed timeline.Your Background:The ideal candidate for this role will have:- A degree in Biology/Molecular Biology or related subject or equivalent qualification/experience in molecular biology.- Molecular biology including DNA extraction, quantification and PCR .- SDS page.- Laboratory housekeeping.- Good knowledge of MS Office including Word & Excel.Apply:For more information or to apply for this Molecular Biologist position, please contact Georgia Bernard or email , quoting job ref 49466.It is essential that applicants hold entitlement to work in the UK.INDGEN
