THIS POST IS FIXED TERM/SECONDMENT FOR 12 MONTHS DUE TO FUNDING IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN APPLYING FOR THE SECONDMENT POSITION, YOU MUST OBTAIN PERMISSION FROM YOUR CURRENT LINE MANAGER PRIOR TO APPLYING FOR THIS POST An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Highly Specialised Practitioner Psychologist to join Traumatic Stress Wales (TSW), a national quality improvement initiative which aims to improve the health and wellbeing of people affected by traumatic events. The post-holder will join a national multi-disciplinary team led by Professor Jon Bisson and hosted by Welsh Health Specialised Services.The post-holder will be a highly motivated individual, who will lead the development and implementation of nationally agreed clinical pathways and interventions for children and young people and their families across Wales, ensuring that all individuals with PTSD and Complex PTSD have equitable access to effective, evidence-based interventions that are matched to their needs. The post-holder will also provide highly specialised psychological assessment and interventions for children and young people with complex presentations and their families as part of a national second opinion and consultation service.This is a pilot project until March 2022, subject to future funding.
