Job Description

This full-time trainer / facilitator role is initially to meet the needs of a Wales Council for Voluntary Action funded project that is running until December 2022 however, the role will continue beyond this, supporting other projects and training opportunitiesthat Autistic Minds delivers across South Wales.The main role will be to work as part of a small team organising and delivering 1:1 and small group training sessions to autistic job-seekers for the Employment Project.Main responsibilities 1. Manage a caseload of learners to ensure successful and timely completion of their course programme through regular contact, training, support and review of learner progress.2. Liaise with learners to arrange appointments, following up learners, providing information and review at one-to-one meetings or workshops and monitoring progress against achievement.3. Meet Key Performance Indicators for personal performance as directed by the Delivery Manager4. Complete all administrative paperwork to meet funding guidelines and Quality Assurance processes in a timely and accurate manner.5. Attend and contribute to meetings, workshops and other training sessions in connection with the post.6. Act as an ambassador for the project and Charity as a whole through contact with learners, employers and other key stakeholders.7. Offer pastoral support to participants when required, liaising with colleagues to ensure successful resolution of any problems, especially with regard to safeguarding concerns.8. Participate in staff development and continuous professional development in line with the post and agreement, following staff appraisal, according to company policy.9. Promote equality of opportunity, inclusivity, diversity, respect, and tolerance in line with company policies throughout the company and all its activities10. use knowledge and experience to help guide and develop the training programmes so that they continue to exceed the needs of the participants.11. Any other duties that may be deemed necessary to meet the requirements of the post and company.Skills and Requirements of Job Holder

  • Knowledge and understanding of autism and neurodiversity.
  • Experience working with neurodiverse individuals.
  • Experience as a trainer / educator
  • Excellent organisational abilities
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent knowledge and experience with a wide range of IT and communication applications
  • Full driving licence and access to own transport
