Job Description

Critical Care Pharmacist | Band 7 | Nottingham | 22.5 hours per weekSpire Nottingham has expanded its services and opened a brand new Critical Care Unit - as such we have an opportunity for an experienced Critical Care Pharmacist to join our team and be part of this exciting period of growth.Spire Nottingham Hospital is the only CQC Outstanding rated private hospital in Nottinghamshire and we are committed to delivering excellent individual care from the first time a patient contacts us until after their treatment is complete. Our state of the art, purpose built hospital located in Tollerton, has 42 private ensuite rooms, 4 theatres including a hybrid theatre, a minor ops suite in Outpatients, 11 day case beds, endoscopy suite, on-site MRI, CT, X-ray, ultrasound and mammography, physiotherapy, pharmacy and 300 free car parking spaces.Duties and responsibilities:As a part of this new team you will play a key role in care of our Level 2 & 3 patients, you will provide a first class clinical pharmacy service working closely with our consultants and wider CCU team. As this is a new department with more growth planned you will also play an active role in developing the service, so it’s a great opportunity to really take ownership in key area for the hospital. You will also be responsible for training our other Pharmacists so they can cover in CCU.During the down time in CCU you will be needed in other areas such as the dispensary or ward rounds, so you will be able to keep your skills and knowledge up to date in all aspects of Clinical Pharmacy.Initially this will be a part time role but we expect the hours to increase as the service grows, you will also need to be flexible as the days and shifts required will vary.Who were looking for:

  • GPhC registered Pharmacist
  • You must have at least 2 years’ experience as a Critical Care Pharmacist as you will be the sole CCU pharmacist in site. Current evidence of work in CCU is a necessity
  • Experience in training or mentoring is highly desirable.
