Job Description

Furniture Sales ManagerAn exciting position has become available for full time Furniture Sales Manager to join a friendly team based in Nottingham. The successful candidate will earn £25,000-£35,000 depending on experience plus a 20% OTE.You should be self-motivated and ready to build upon your current skill set. You will bring your fresh ideas and approach to grow with the business, and you will have the opportunity to develop your knowledge of, and affect change, across all facets of our company.The successful candidate will be a valued member of the management team and will work closely with directors, production, accounts and sales administration teams with a combined goal for success. This role reports to the Managing Director.Role Requirements

  • Clean driving licence is essential
  • Ideally a minimum of 5 years previous business development/sales experience
  • Knowledge of furniture, educational or retail sectors may be advantageous as would an understanding of product marketing in any capacity
  • Experience and knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint as well as CRM Systems
  • Recent relevant experience in business and sales development
  • Proven track record in business development/account management including a history of maintaining and developing key accounts
  • Exceptional organizational skills including prioritizing, scheduling, time management and budget control with a ‘roll your sleeves up’ approach
  • Innovative, passionate, persistent, motivated and determined to succeed in all situations
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills; ability to engage resellers in both small and large group settings
  • Experience of developing relationships and maximizing opportunities with minimal guidance
  • A fun, vibrant personality with a sense of humour – the team like to laugh!
  • Ability to travel as needed
  • Role Responsibilities
  • Meet or exceed sales objectives and targets
  • Maintaining strong relationships with existing accounts with periodic visits, telephone and emails
  • Building relationships with new resellers and assisting customers with product selection and marketing strategies to encourage success
  • Proactively seek and identify new markets for development, identifying suitable product ranges and marketing strategies
  • Input into product development, marketing and catalogue design for both Monarch & reseller publications
  • Work in conjunction with Sales Administration team to ensure customer expectations are met and exceeded
  • Completing tender submissions for current and new opportunities
  • Representing the business at a small number of exhibitions and conferences
  • Reporting market insights and departmental KPI results to the management team on a monthly basis
  • Efficiently utilize CRM system to prioritize and organize short-term and long-term goals
  • Report directly to Sales & Marketing Director regarding current and future strategy and activity
