They pride themselves on the unparalleled level of service that they are able to offer and they currently have an exciting opportunity for a Order ProductionProcessor specialist to join a vibrant and friendly teamAbout the OpportunityThis role is responsible for the planning, creation and communication of all material workflows in line with our customer demand and working closely with the appropriate teams to ensure all delivery schedules are met.This will entail coordinating and developing production schedules on a daily basis. Taking stock of inventory levels and ensuring the necessary materials and components are ready for each rooflight to be manufactured and available according to set deadlines.This role requires excellent attention to detail with a capacity to recognise problems and proactively seek to resolve these. You will be responsible for balancing demand with available capacity and ensure deliverables are met on time and in full.You will be expected to produce, and drive execution of set production schedules for daily, weekly and monthly production targets.______________________________________________________________________________________What duties are involved

  • Coordinate and develop production plans with the appropriate teams
  • Plan production dates including the dates when materials are available and ready for production via the use of customer due-dates.
  • Create and maintain all materials schedules
  • Carry out planning and coordination of production schedules
  • Supervise schedules and workflow to ensure that customer deliveries are on time
  • Perform pre-organisation of production materials before the commencement of production
  • Create efficient scheduling processes or methods to achieve production goals
  • Place orders for production materials to avoid inventory shortage
  • Generate production reports to enable informed production decisions
  • Solve problems that have to do with material shortage in a timely manner
  • Handle all production issues in a way that it doesnt hinder production and delivery.
  • Where applicable, expedite work flow and coordinate changes in schedules.
  • Set agreed master production planning, material requirements planning and production scheduling metrics and targets.
  • Handle basic issues and problems under direct supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.
  • Produce and update Production Schedules in line with the order book, minimising non productive time where possible
  • Attend daily and weekly meetings (S&OP), contributing strongly to the success of the overall team
  • Highlight any issues to the production plans to the relevant teams ASAP and look for ways to overcome these
  • Provide quick responses to production issues.
  • Identify problems and help improve processes.
  • Use software to generate reports and schedules.
What skills, experience & attributes are we looking for
  • Experience in production scheduling in a manufacturing environment
  • Must have a strong understanding of the production process and be able to generate and maintain effective daily and weekly schedules.
  • Organise schedules, solve production problems, seek to improve processes, and help fulfill company expectations.
  • Must have an aptitude for computers and various software programs
  • Ability to handle and prioritise multiple tasks.
  • Ability to create and understand reports in order to make production decisions.
  • Excellent communication skills on all fronts (listening and speaking)
  • Good interpersonal skills to be able to get along well with other workers
  • Must have good time management abilities
  • Must understand the basics of customer care and delivering on time
  • Ability to multitask if need be and display flexibility while carrying out duties
  • Must be familiar with logistics planning software
  • A minimum of 3 years working experience in a similar position.
