Job Description

Job Title: Diagnostic RadiographerGrade: Band 5Trust: Croydon Health Services NHS TrustLocation: Croydon University Hospital, CR7 7YEWard/Dept: RadiologyHours: 33 Hours a week over 3 long days, Monday to FridayWould you like to be part of a team whose values are to always be professional, compassionate, respectful, and safe Are you highly motivated and committed with excellent attention to detail and strong communication If so, CUH are currently looking fora vibrant, enthusiastic, and dedicated radiographer to join their team and encourage candidates to apply today!The radiology department at CUH are looking for a candidate who has experience of a wide range of routine radiographic examinations, accident and emergency radiography, and theatre radiography as well as knowledge of PACS/digital imaging systems. This isa busy imaging department so ideally the candidate will have experience working in this environment as well as working out of hour duties.Skills and abilities required:

  • Able to make prompt decisions based on knowledge, experience, and circumstances
  • Use of initiative but also to know when to seek assistance and guidance
  • Excellent written and oral communication with both patients and colleagues
  • Time management; able to prioritise own workload and that of others
  • Record keeping; keeping up to date, clear, and accurate records on a day-to-day basis
The Successful Candidate Will:
  • Be HCPC registered
  • Have a BSc in Radiography
  • Have previous NHS experience
  • Practice in accordance with the professional, ethical, and legal codes of the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC), and Trust and NHS protocols and guidelines
  • Demonstrate a professional attitude and approach at all times
  • Be able to cope with occasional unpleasant conditions like body fluids and odour
  • Be able to cope with occasional emotional situations in the CT environment involving distressed patients/relatives
