Advanced Healthcare AssistantBand 3The post will close once we have received a sufficient number of applicationsAn exciting opportunity has arisen for an Advanced Healthcare Assistant to work as part of the multidisciplinary team within our purpose built medical same day emergency, (SDEC) / Ambulatory Care unit.The Unit is Consultant led and sees all medical patients referred to the hospital from community and acute health care settings.Our SDEC /Ambulatory Care Service currently sees an average of 50-60 patients a day. We work in close collaboration with our Elderly Frailty Unit and our COPD rapid access clinic. We are looking for an enthusiastic and innovative Healthcare Assistant to join our established team in expanding and developing the care pathways and services offered by this unit.You should possess substantial experience as a Healthcare Assistant in an acute medical or a critical care setting with expanded role skills including venepuncture and cannulation. Ideally you would also possess a minimum of a Care Certificate and / or vocational qualification such as NVQ.
