Job Description

An exciting opportunity to be part of a brand new branch opening! A retail position with no Sunday or Bank holiday working - and only alternate Saturday mornings!About the organisationThis is a family-owned business with nineteen sites across the East of England. They offer paint, timber, glass, ironmongery, tools, landscaping, building supplies and much, much more. They have also been known as a leading kitchen and bathroom specialistsince 1963. Their showrooms have since built up an enviable reputation for quality and service and they specialise in helping customers find the right products, at a price that suits them best.And the roleThis is a brand new branch opening in Kettering and you will be leading and developing a team, you will manage and motivate the team to achieve branch and company objectives which includes performance reviews, appraisals and disciplinary meetings. Gainingup-to-date knowledge of area developments and competitor activity, you will create, manage and develop a branch business plan and work with Management to agree the branch budget. Developing sales to agreed levels, through new and existing business, you willpro-actively market the business for the branch and control and where possible reduce costs by managing stock to agreed levels.Delivering excellent customer service to both internal and external customers, you will deal with customer queries, projects and complaints in a prompt and effective manner, consistently meeting customer requirements. You will build strong relationshipswith customers and suppliers, merchandisers and other partners and organise events and initiatives to promote good relations and sales development.What were looking forYou will need a sound knowledge of the decorating industry with the tenacity to deliver objectives and achieve targets. You must also have the ability to identify new market and product opportunities and provide excellent customer service in accordance withour Customer Charter.
