Creative Support is a national not-for-profit care provider specialising in support for adults with a wide range of needs including learning disabilities, mental health needs and elderly care. We work closely with the different local authorities and commissioners to ensure we provide a person centred plan for each service user we support. We allocate a key worker to one (or more) service users to ensure our clients receive consistent support from the same individual.At present, we are looking for creative, caring and innovative people to provide personalised support to older adults with a diagnosis of dementia in Ashton-Under-Lyne. Wilshaw House Day Centre is a specialist Dementia community day service providing support for older people with a diagnosis of dementia and cognitive impairment.You must have good communication skills and be able to provide respectful personal care. Applicants must be at least 21 years old and have held a full, clean driving license for a minimum of 2 years as an essential requirement, in accordance with UK Law, to drive a service user mini bus.Relevant experience and qualification is desirable i.e. NVQ/QCF level 2/3. We will support your continued development and will support you to access accredited courses in relevant areas e.g. mental health, communication approaches.
