Job Description

Missing Project Worker - Ashton under LyneAre you a passionate, dedicated Missing Project Worker looking for your next role 4Recruitment Services are recruiting anexperienced Missing Project Worker to join a team based in Ashton Under Lyne.Umbrella Rate: £15.68 per hourDuration: 22/01/2023 – 3 months initiallyHours: Monday to Friday 08:30 - 17:00, 36 hrs/week - Office basedMissing Project Workerrole:Full JD Available

  • Conducting return to home interviews with children and young people who are returning home following a missing episode
  • Establish what has caused them to run away, what experiences and individuals they encountered whilst away and what could help resolve the issues that the child identifies
  • Complete specialist exploitation assessments, risk reduction and support plans
  • Deliver interventions to address concerns such as violence, substance misuse, ACE’s and impact of trauma
  • Provide support in order to protect them from harm and prevent risks
  • Ensure the appropriate provision of help and support with an aim of reducing missing from home episodes
  • Work with partner agencies to provide appropriate service
  • Escalate any immediate safeguarding concerns
  • Ensure the appropriate gathering of information to be shared with Childrens Social Care, Police and other services as relevant
  • Build trusting working relationships
  • Maintain records of services provided to service users
  • Attend meetings, reviews and conferences where necessary
Essential Requirements
  • Driving Licence, access to a vehicle, business insurance
  • Recent experience working with vulnerable children, young people and their families
  • Direct experience and a thorough understanding of the challenges of working with young people who are victims at risk of or being criminally exploited by organised criminal gangs
  • Good knowledge of child protection safeguarding processes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • You Must Have Right to Live & Work in the UK
  • Enhanced Child DBS registered to the update service
