Job Description

An exciting Head of Facilities, Energy, and Capital Projects position is now available with Tameside Council on an initial temporary contract. Hybrid working is available.What is the roleTamesideCouncil are now looking to appoint an experienced consultant to lead an expert Facilities Management Service, develop a professional Capital Programme delivery service, and oversee the Council’s actions and responses to Climate Change.This wide-ranging position is integral to the Council embedding a Corporate Landlord approach ensuring effective management of services and operational property.The role will also support the development of the Council’s Capital Strategy and Strategic Asset Management objectives.How can you help

Lead Corporate Facilities Management, Corporate Landlord, Environment and Property services and manage Capital Programme delivery.

Ensure service delivery within a complex and diverse service area through effective leadership of staff, contractors, and specialist consultants.

Provide project management support on the delivery of Growth, Housing, Development and Regeneration projects.

Define, lead, and coordinator the Council’s actions around Climate and Energy, developing projects that contribute to Climate Change strategy.
