We are working with a local authority in Ashton Under Lyneto find a Head of Estates on an interim basis.Length of role:Initial 3 monthsUmbrella day rate:£400 - £450 per day. Please let me know if your day rate expectations differ from this.The role:This role is an essential leadership & management position within the Council’s Estates service to improve internal and external Stakeholder and customer experiences.Key Duties:- Assisting in reducing the costs of real estate to the services, ensuring rental growth and assist in the disposals programme.- Managing the Estates service to assist in reducing the costs of real estate to the services, ensuring rental growth through effective management of the existing commercial portfolio and explore opportunities to develop and grow the commercial estate.- Leading and managing the delivery of the Council’s disposals programme.- Working collaboratively with the Strategic Asset Management Team to facilitate delivery of operational cost savings from rationalisation of the Council’s operational estate,- Ensuring that rent reviews, new leases and service requests are managed in a timely manner.Experiences required:- A qualified and experienced Estates Professional.- Significant experience in project delivery in an equivalent public sector organisation.- Able to work at pace with enthusiasm and drive.- Be able to engage with and influence a range of partners at all levels.If you are interested, or have any questions, please let me know.
