Job Description

Here at Moorepay we are on the look out for an experienced Technical Presales Consultant to join our ever growing Sales Division. The role is responsible for providing technical and functional solution design to new & existing clients by identifying the customers’ requirements and designing a commercially viable solution from within the Moorepay’s product portfolio.Accountable for actively driving and managing the pre-sales process with direct and channel customers the Technical Pre-Sales Consultant must be able to articulate the company’s technology and product portfolio, positioning to both business and technical users.Reporting into the Chief Sales Officer, you will be primarily engaged in a pre-sales technical consultancy role and deal with larger prospect new business opportunities to new & existing corporate customers on SaaS, API, CSV integrations and unique Moorepay connectors as well as client requested bespoke solutions.Key Accountabilities:

  • Responsible for actively driving and managing the pre-sales process with direct and channel customers .
  • Provide technical assistance and guidance during the pre-sales process by identifying customers technical and business requirements, prior to designing a solution, consulting with technical teams about capabilities, and supporting business sales teams, account managers and partners on proposal activities.
  • Attend meetings with potential Clients to determine technical and business requirements
  • Create and confidently deliver technical presentations internally and externally
  • Deliver training on solutions and provide product support to channel partners and internal stakeholders
  • Work with the Product Management team to feedback on issues with current products and provide input around new products
  • Support responses to RFP, bids and tenders and meet pre-agreed submission timelines
  • Build productive relationships internally and externally, fostering teamwork by keeping colleagues updated on activities
  • Perform technical development for bespoke solutions as part of a design and development framework.
  • Understand business drivers and risks involved to the customer and to then Sell technical solutions to the customer with professionalism and enthusiasm
  • Provide accurate and timely management information, to include - activity reports, bid reviews, project forecasts, KPI’s Adhere to the Company’s Quality and Business Processes
  • Stakeholder Management:
  • Working closely with the sales team on proposal and pitches by attending meetings with field business development managers acting as a technical and functional expert
  • Key stakeholders that you will work with will include Head of Sales, Pre-Sales Manager, Business Development Managers, Corporate Sales Development Managers, technical team, product development and the implementation team
  • An action-oriented and structured professional with strong technical software skills who can work across the large stakeholder base to ensure an aligned sales proposition relevant to the requirements
  • SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
  • Experience in a technical pre-sales role or with similar customer facing experience.
  • Must be a subject matter expert with extensive software systems experience.
  • An ability to communicate technical information to non-technical staff in a way that is easy to understand.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • You have experience with cloud technologies - e.g. iPaaS, SaaS applications, cloud infrastructure and various methodologies of integrating products including JSON API’s.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbally, able to work with senior executives and key stakeholders across the company and with customers.
  • Commercial acumen and delivery of practical outcomes.
  • A creative and open mind-set to continuously keep an eye for new trends / opportunities.
  • High levels of energy, passion with a "can-do" attitude.
  • Team player who is be able to work across the organization with different functions.
  • Previous experience working in Payroll or HR applications in a similar position would be a strong advantage
  • Previous experience of requirements gathering, design and solution building and the ability to replicate this in a commercial setting.
  • Able to show and discuss a range of previous customer solution designs.
  • Organised and analytical, able to eliminate sales obstacles through creative and adaptive approaches.
