Job Description

Payroll Bureau Officer - Part Time (3 Days/week)The RoleWe are working as exclusive recruitment partners for Brearley & Co accountants, a leading independent firm who have been established for over 30 years with offices in Swinton, Chapeltown, Doncaster, Dinnington and Barnsley.We are seeking an experienced payroll bureau officer on a part-time basis (3 Days/week), a minimum of 15 hours/week. The business is offering complete flexibility regarding the days worked and also the start/finish timesDuties and ResponsibilitiesSupporting the Payroll Bureau Manager, the position of Payroll Bureau Specialist will be responsible for the following:

  • Assist in the Payroll Manager in supporting a varied client portfolio from smaller limited companies through to companies with large weekly/monthly payrolls
  • Process end to end payroll, including dealing with your own client queriesReviewing and checking all aspects of payroll process (starters, leavers, secondments, transfers and completion of all appropriate tax forms, variable data - e.g. bonus, advances,overtime, etc.)
  • Ability to manage multiple payrolls at any given time
  • Successfully build and maintain strong working relationships with existing and new clients
Skills and QualitiesThe successful candidate will have proven experience working within a payroll bureau environment, along with a strong understanding of current payroll legislation. The ability to communicate effectively with both clients and staff members is also highlyimportant.The business will offer the successful applicant an excellent remuneration package and will provide a supportive network from the senior management team.Salary/Benefits
