Job Description

Milk Education are working with a Primary SEND School in the Swinton area who are looking for a Level 2 SEND Teaching Assistant. The school educates children with PMLD, ASD, ADHD, communication and visual impairments and social and emotional difficulties.This means that you will have to be understanding and considerate of the individual learning journey of the pupils.The school are looking for Level 2 SEND Teaching Assistants who have an exceptional teaching and supporting manner, strong classroom engagement and communication and the willingness to deliver learning material in an effective and supportive manner.In order to be considered for the role of a Level 2 SEND Teaching Assistant we require you meet the following criteria;

  • Hold a UK Level 2 Teaching Assistant Qualification or equivalent.
  • Strong and positive behaviour management with a flexible approach.
  • Have experience of working in an SEND setting or supporting pupils with special educational needs and disabilities.
  • Have experience of working with pupils with social, emotional and mental health difficulties.
  • Be a confident and proven classroom practitioner.
  • Successful experience of managing pupils needs.
  • Evidence of planning and delivering high quality learning opportunities for children in the areas of physical development, health and well-being.
